About
A 0→1 UX/UI design project for Laika AI, an early-stage AI productivity platform reimagining the web browser experience. I owned the full design scope, navigation model, task flows, interaction patterns, and design system, translating complex AI-driven workflows into a product that felt intuitive and purposeful from day one.
Problem
Designing an AI browser from scratch meant solving two problems simultaneously: building a familiar enough experience that users wouldn't feel lost, while introducing AI capabilities in a way that felt natural rather than bolted on.
The core design challenge: Create a browser interface that makes AI assistance feel like a core part of how you navigate and work, not a feature you have to consciously activate.
Solution
Designed the full product from the ground up — establishing the visual language, interaction model, and design system that would carry the product from early builds to launch-ready.
Outcomes:
→ Full UX/UI built from 0, navigation, flows, interactions, and design system
↑ AI workflow clarity, complex capabilities translated into simple, accessible patterns
→ Scalable design system adopted across the product for consistent build and handoff
↑ Visual cohesion across all surfaces, browser UI, overlays, and AI interaction states
